What’s the typical price per square foot for Paving Stone?
A typical price per square foot would be $34 and up. The price can vary due to drainage issues in yards where drains can be installed or permeable bases which may increase the price depending on your application. Another reason prices can vary is due to the access of your yard, for instance, can we fit all our equipment into your yard? or will we have to hand dig the project.
Is paving stone better than concrete?
In our opinion, yes pavers are a much better choice than concrete. The reason we say this is because concrete cracks, and there is no arguing that it’s just a matter of time, and there is very little that you can do to properly repair cracked concrete paving stones. Using paving stones, every block is replaceable. If a paving stone cracks, or something heavy is dropped and the paver chips, you can simply just replace the broken brick. Another reason pavers are better is if the ground under the pavers lifts and sinks with frost, and your left with an uneven area of your patio, all those pavers can be lifted and re-levelled, whereas concrete will just crack, and your left with living with the crack or ripping it out and starting over.
What is the price per square foot for retaining walls?
The price varies on the type of materials used, and if the walls need to be engineered. So an average would be $60 a square foot, and up to $140 a square foot for engineered walls.
Do retaining walls have to be engineered at certain heights?
It depends on your city or county bylaws, however, many walls over 3 ft high need to be engineered.

The price per square foot for artificial turf in Edmonton can vary depending on quality of turf, base preparation, and infill sands. Typically a price of $16 per square foot and up for good quality turf is normal.
What is the lifespan of artificial turf in the Edmonton area?
Most of the artificial turf we recommend has a factory warranty of 10 to 15 years. However, artificial turf that is properly installed and maintained can last up to 20 to 25 years. Maintenance on artificial turf is very minimal, but goes a really long way in making it long lasting and looking fresh. Maintenance as simple as brooming, or using a blower to remove debris and keeping it from inbreeding in the turf fibres goes a long way.
